Join me here on Planet Wolf, where everything is thoroughly lupine!
This is madness!! - it crosses the line onto the feral side of the fence which has nothing to do with human sanity - thanks the gods
I love to hear them howl....and hunt....beauty and fear, so close!
You put that so beautifully - this track is a tribute to that beast of prey
Very intense!
You play guitar with your mind and bring thoughts from somewhere else..magical
- you do point to an aspect of this where I might spend days just thinking about a track, thinking about the sounds I might want on there - I won't make a sound for those days, just meditate on that track [of course this will be while I go about my business day to day - no hermetic seclusion or ritualising necessary
Wonderful bass..visceral guitar
: The bass is the paws, claws, legs and haunches of the beast - guitar the body, tail, neck, jaws, eyes and howlin' tongue
The brooding pack..milling, murmuring, with galloping hearts and paws..stunning
Traffic in the trainyard, beware.
Those sirens often turn up - I don't remember playing sirens!
Obviously cosmic klaxons warning prospective visitors that the Orgasmatron is running.
Shame I can't ship you some of the vintage grainy nasty rack verb I have laying around!
Shame - there's a whole avalanche of reverb to quarry! I only discovered wet-only reverb on this track, believe it or not!
It's a glorious thing (and one of the reasons I have so many damn inputs on the interface, so I can mix in the all-wet later and tweak the mix). I either want all wet ubernasty long impossible rooms, or vintage spring, I'm a weirdo like that though. And the nasty verb really only sounds right at 100%, even if I mix it in at less than that later.

60s movie soundtrack, enter stage left.
I should make this track's genre Soundtrack - done
Damn, there was a lot of sound in there.
Yeah - got to the point of no return at times, had to struggle to keep the clipping at bay - another experiment in using reverb at various depth on the layers - on this one I used a lot of wet only reverb to try and build that sound wall
That's some pugilistic bass.
Lots of top and played with the infamous metal pick
Is this keening all guitar? Nice.
No, there's some field recording mixed in!
But now closer. Yikes.
Nice gallop, as if from just beyond the tree line.
Ah yes - it is like an aural movie
lyrics
Amongst Wolves
Are ye amongst men?
Nay, you are among wolves.
For man is a beast of prey,
And more of a wolf, than any wolf.
