Silvern starquake

about

This grew out of some guitar tracks I made with my four pick up Revelation Jag-like.
I added the nasty fuzz bass/drums and the delayed Les Paul lead afterwards, and began to get cosmic Pterodactyl sounds in my head.
I kept thinking of Bolan’s beautiful line, “Pterodactyl beak adorn my brow”: I only realised that he left this Earth on this day however many years ago. This is a tribute to all bird guitarists.

feels like it's wrapping around, tightening up

shaken right down to the bottom of my stars
:
Frisellesque! : yes! that is one great looking word! When I first heard Bill frisell I thought, "great, at last someone more interested in sounds than in notes and patterns", so you are very perceptive.

Take me in that direction! Yessir!

as your music is always hapen so slow in time, is like catching the absolute/universe

Beautiful mind-massage - Now that is a very nice way of putting it!

Syrup streaming from the stars..beautiful tone, Bill...heresy to ever relegate an Ibanez, mind you! ;)
Ha! I do feel dreadfully disloyal to the Ibanez, but the Gibson Les Paul is such a 'go to' instrument.

Worlds unimagined springing to life here...fantastically strange

birds everywhere, and none that i know
: these are pterodactyls - the track opened a corridor in space time to experience. They are quite scary, but not as big as we imagine. I believe Marc Bolan made brief psychic contact with me when I put this track down on his death day. I then saw that his Paul had been recovered, the one that's on the cover of the Brown album of 1970.that is a kind of exclaibur

this sounds like a band of trees playing in slow motion
I've always liked the Ents in Tolkien. I kind of semi believe in the wisdom of trees. It's very mythic, what you say. This more forest mystery than space jazz really.

that "lead" tone is so liquid, and vocal all at once. warm liquid, with a certain amount of viscocity.: that's my Gibson Les Paul with mini humbuckers - damn, that has spoilt me for most other guitars! The Ibanez is redundant now as this Paul does woman tone even better with that added 'viscosity' as you put it. The Paul just feels a hundred times better too.

sheet metal shaking
: a trebly fuzz tone on my 5 string bass

Now there's a bird squawk and descending flight I can agree with!

A very pleasant flight, sir. I hit play, and now I'm here.

lyrics

Silvern Starquake

Your winged finger
Pointed skyward
To pterodactyl worlds
Afar.

All of a sudden, an
Up-rush reptilian ,
On a quaking skyless
Star.
